So I wanted to let you all know about the TED website. It’s a great video thinktank basically. The videos featured on the site are from world renowned intellectuals speaking on topics in their respective fields. It’s definitely an interesting site and worth checking out if you’ve got some extra time and feel like exercising your brain. There is lots of good stuff, topics range on everything from how our brain works during a stroke to how to fix the problem of world poverty.
With all of that said, it’s a site filled with some great intellectuals and thinkers like I said, but it isn’t necessarily friendly towards those of the faith. Infact the TED official stance on religion is that they have no stance on religion. So okay that’s great!
I did however find one particular gem from Dr. Rick Warren author of “The Purpose Driven Life”.
In the video titled “Living With Purpose” Dr. Warren talks to us about what he experienced with the success of his book, the questions he asked himself and what he was going to do with this new found influence he wielded. Near the end of the video he tells a story about moses and his staff. God asks moses what is in his hands, I would ask you the same. What is in your hands? Watch and enjoy!
